Day 89 (3/30/11) - Best Buddies

We are so fortunate to have two little boys who not only consider themselves brothers, but also best friends.  Despite their sharing squabbles and occasional jealousy flare-ups, they really do love each other.  Gavin clearly adores and looks up to Ryan and wants to do everything that he does.  Ryan takes his role as big brother very seriously, trying to protect Gavin and teach him different things.  And they both seem to genuinely enjoy the other's company.  It reminds me of the song used in the "My Buddy" advertisements from when I was growing up...

"My Buddy, My Buddy, Wherever I go, he goes. My Buddy, My Buddy, I’ll teach him everything that I know.

My Buddy and me, Like to climb up a tree. My buddy and me, We're the best friends that could be.
