For some reason, I seem to be challenged when it comes to building snowmen. I have tried, unsuccessfully, for the past couple of years to make one. Today, I was determined to make it happen. With heavy, wet snowflakes falling all around us, we built our first snowman. The snowman's eyes were made using a Pampered Chef cookie scoop and grape snow cone syrup. The intention was to fashion a mouth using cherry syrup, but I ran out of energy and interest. We later added a piece of sidewalk chalk for the nose. And, as you can see in the photo, Gavin was quite upset that we used his plastic golf clubs as the snowman's arms. We then went inside and shared cold hot chocolate with a double serving of marshmallows! (I know cold hot chocolate is an oxymoron, but Ryan is very particular about the temperature of his food and drink and will not eat anything that is lukewarm or hotter!)
